By 6:30 am we knew I was in labor and called my parents so they could start down. Then we called the midwife to let her know. It was just crampy at first, till almost noon, the contractions slowly got stronger. Shortly after my parents got there ( it took them close to 7 hours because of weather, normally it's a 5 hour drive) I was on my knees rocking for the contractions. At about 6pm I told K to call the midwife to come and His mom. From that point on I was in the bedroom.
K was holding a hot water bottle on my back and pushing most of the time.
Then the midwife arrived around 8:30 pm and checked me, I was at 9 centimeters. The day before I was 3.
She broke my water and I started to push, I don't have pictures of that, Ma had the camcorder. 20 minutes of pushing and we saw are precious little girl for the first time.
K was able to cut the cord, the midwife told him it would be hard, I asked him later if it was, he just shrugged.
